Citizen Police Academy Offers Unique Look at MPD

The Milwaukee Police Department is now accepting applications for its next Citizen Police Academy Class that begins Wednesday, March 19, 2008.  Applications are available at the Police Academy, 6680 N. Teutonia Avenue.

The Milwaukee Citizen Police Academy is a 10-week program designed to provide citizens with a working knowledge of the Milwaukee Police Department.  It consists of a series of classes held once a week for three hours.  Instruction includes classroom academics and practical applications in law, police procedures, defense and arrest tactics, firearms training and state-of-the-art technology used to combat crime.
